Shannon D. Sentman, Co-founder and Principal

Shannon is Sol Vista's chief strategist and marketer. Prior to co-founding Sol Vista, Shannon was an attorney, strategic consultant, and federal lobbyist with the international law firm Holland & Knight. While with H&K, he built a successful leading-edge, sustainability-focused practice counseling clients from numerous industries, including real estate, energy, and clean tech.

Shannon is a nationally-recognized expert in the field of high-performance buildings, releasing two books on the subject in 2009. He is actively involved with U.S. Green Building Council, and is Chair of USGBC National Capital Region. He is also an adjunct instructor for the University of Maryland, Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development, and a frequent lecturer for the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

In addition to his law degree, Shannon holds an MS in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University and was one of the first attorneys in the country to earn the designation of LEED Accredited Professional.

Zack Moore, Co-founder and Principal

Zack oversees Sol Vista's technical and engineering efforts, and has been the primary visionary driving the company's increasingly innovative methods for steadily increasing client return on investment from Sol Vista's optimization efforts. He also plays a primary role in the continuing evolution of the company's myVista™ Building Intelligence Suite.

Prior to Sol Vista, Zack founded greenSense Energy, a forward-thinking commercial building optimization company, where he worked with commercial real estate owners to cut utility expenses via efficient engineering, procurement, operations, and the latest control technologies.

Zack holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA in Technology Management. His background includes years of process, project, sales, and consulting engineering experience within the energy industry and with high-tech startups.

Mark E. Foster, President, Sol Vista SiteWork, LLC

Mark leads Sol Vista's project implementation team—Sol Vista SiteWork. As president, he is responsible for turning the potential energy savings uncovered by Sol Vista Consulting's assessment and building performance monitoring into real savings for building owners. To do this, he combines a background in engineering, project management, and construction with a dedication to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

Prior to Sol Vista, Mark co-founded a residential property development firm, served as the VP of Operations for Impact Construction & Consulting, and performed contract project management for large commercial, non-profit, and government clients. He has also served as an adjunct professor of internet technology courses at Montgomery College.

Mark holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia with a minor in Computer Science. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of USGBC National Capitol Region and the Green Building Institute.
